A brace of tries from pacy winger Gavin Thomas helped Crymych gain a morale-boosting win over Whitland at Parc Lloyd Thomas after a tight first half where they could only muster a 7-3 lead against a battling Borderers’ side. Richard Sharp-Williams scored the Preseli Men’s try from a strong drive converted by Sam Phillips, whilst a Nico Setaro penalty was Whitland’s only response in that first 40 minutes. Then Thomas sped through for his second try, and the last by Joe Powell two converted by Sam Phillips, whilst sandwiched in between were two Setaro penalties. Talented young hooker Ifan Phillips made the game safe for Crymych with a good try which Phillips goaled and all Whitland could muster in response was a late try by full back Kieran Jones which Setaro converted.
